this was my first painting of 2024. i had been woring on a bridal bouquet commission and was so stressed that i was not going to be able to do it. with art you are always growing and there is always something i have never painted before. part of the adventure but also part of the fear... my 16 year old saw this and actually put me in time out and said i just needed to paint for fun and this piece is what came from that. after it was done, i got back down to it and completed my commission and learned something new! this painting reminds me to continually plug into God's smile over what i am doing and not take myself so seriously. may it be a reminder for you too. original on watercolor paper. 9"12"
